In order to do a piercing attack, players will have to sprint forward and then attack. The heavy combo will start with an overhead slash proceeding to an underhand slash. When 2-handing, the player will have the same 5 slash light combo but a different heavy combo. When 1-handing the Uchigatana, players can use their off-hand for other equipment, such as shields. Players will also have a piercing sprint attack and a quick slash roll-in attack.
1-handing the weapon will give the player a 5 slash light combo and a piercing then slash heavy combo. Depending on if the player is 1-handing or 2-handing the weapon in Elden Ring will determine the type of attack combos players will have while using the weapon.
